Autumn Trip to Lake Louise Inn
We clearly make quite a few trips to the mountains and have a couple favourite spots, Lake Louise Inn is one of those favourites. I honestly can't decide which season of the year in Lake Louise is my favourite; Winter + Spring means the lake is frozen and so fun to walk/skate on, everything is white and bright making it such a perfect Winter escape. While Summer + Fall is colourful, filled with life (and people) bringing such gorgeous freshness to all your scenes. This was my first Autumn trip to Lake Louise Inn during Larch season and I was amazed by the colours and excitement of the entire area. Everyone seemed very excited to experience the lake during this autumnal season and I don’t blame them - the colours are stunning.
We first arrived on Friday evening and checked into my favourite room yet - the one-bedroom loft suite! This condo-style suite is actually perfect for pretty much any family with the option to sleep 8 with multiple different spaces! Our family is a unique one and requires different sleeping situations, so while Jackson took the front bedroom and was thrilled with the idea that he got to pick which bed he was going to sleep on, Maddox chose the trundle bed in our loft space. The suite was so cozy with a fireplace, full kitchen, a gorgeous view of the back forested area and two bathrooms so we don't all have to share!
On Saturday we had the chance to enjoy the now open pool and hot tubs which the boys were over the moon about. Just recently they reopened their hot tubs with the chance to book your hot tub time before check-in and enjoy a safe and distanced hot tub experience.
Every single time we stay at Lake Louise Inn the boys must do a "jungle exploration" through the paths around the Inn. These paths go right along this beautiful creek and the views are stunning!
We had heard of this gorgeous lookout point(Morant's Curve) that was apparently on the Canadian ten-dollar bill that we just had to go see and it also ended up being on Lake Louise Inn’s fall scavenger hunt so off we went! The views were just stunning and we just so happened to catch a freight train going through at the very end. Listening to the horn echo throughout the Rockies, it was just stunning!
Sunday morning we woke up nice and early to get to the lake which turned out to be a genius idea as the lake parking lot was pretty much full once we arrived (go early friends)! We ran out and arrived just as the sun was rising on the mountains surrounding the lake - we even heard a loud bang from a small avalanche on the far side of the lake with a bunch of fresh snow! Lake Louise will forever shock me with its beauty, I don’t think I will ever get used to its amazingly vibrant water.
Any chance I get to go to one of the most beautiful places in our country I take. Lake Louise has just stolen my heart and the beautiful Lake Louise Inn is an amazing place to soak in all the beauty.
